Tomatillo is a plant of the nightshade family, bearing small, spherical and green or green-purple fruit of the same name. Tomatillos are a key ingredient in fresh and cooked Latin American green sauces.
- Soil: Well-drained, fertile soil
- Water: Regular watering, do not let the soil dry out
- Light: Full sun
- Sowing Method: Indoor sowing 6-8 weeks before last frost, transplant outdoors after danger of frost has passed

Planting Instructions: Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last spring frost date. Plant them 1/4 inch deep in seed-starting formula. Keep the soil moist at 75 degrees F. Seedlings emerge in 7-14 days.
Harvest Instructions: Harvest tomatillos when they fill out the husk and the husk begins to split. The fruit should be firm and bright green, as the flavor is best then.
